Carrie’s identity as a “tranny chaser” does not mean that she is attracted to all transgender people, nor does it mean that she refers to all transgender people as “trannies.” She is attracted to a range of gender identities of people who choose to blur gender norms, those who self-identify as “trannies,” gender freaks, and perverts, and are proud of their transgender identities.
The Premiere Issue of How to Fuck a Tranny addresses this very topic in an article Carrie wrote called “Confessions of a Tranny Chaser.” She discusses her sexual orientation, reclaiming of an offensive term, and her retorts to the notion that someone who is attracted to transpeople is automatically a fetishist. We hope you purchase a copy and read it! Carrie is also available to answer questions you might have regarding her identity.
Not every transgender person in the world contributed to this zine (Can you imagine trying to fold a zine that huge???), which would be the only way to highlight the thoughts, feelings, and desires of the entire transgender community. This zine reflects the thoughts, feelings, and desires of the individuals listed on the contributors page, most of which feel proud to identify as freaks and/or anti-assimilationist self-identified trannies.
When we set out to create this zine, it was important to us to find as much balance of perspectives and diversity of content as possible. The identities of the current contributors include queer tranny fags, sensual and submissive crossdressers, partners of transpeople, activist transwomen, genderqueer pervs, sexually empowered people and kinksters of many genders.
It is our intent to continue to find balance of perspectives and diversity of content in future issues and hope to have additional perspectives featured in future issues. We could use your help in striking that balance! Please send your visual art, poetry, articles, erotica,
